☆ Masking Sheets for Nail Art ☆

Hello~!!
It's Tutorial Tuesday today!!
Well, I haven't been able to do a real proper tutorial yet but
I'm gonna get there...!!!

I got a request from Anastacia yesterday,
when I was wondering what I should talk about today.

Her request was about Masking Sheets

Masking sheets are used just like sticky tape
when we do stripes on our nails.
But I'd say they are less sticky and thicker than sticky tapes.

They also vary in sizes,
so you can create your own shapes very easily.

You can find them in hobby stores which have
plastic models or figures of robots and airplanes.
Because these sheets are very useful when maniac people like me
want to do the painting job yourself, hehehe

Did this post help you Anastacia??

If you have a request for me to write about
nail art technique or products I use,
please let me know~!!

Thank you for visiting!!

Nail Repair with Silk Wrap ♪

Hello~!
It's tutorial Tuesday~

Today I'd like to briefly show you
how to repair a cracked fingernail using Silk Wrap.
Because I had a request from nicelyvarnished the other day.
Thank you for asking!

These are the things we need...
1. Small scissors
2. Silk Wrap
3. Filler powder (clear)
4. Nail glue
5. An emery board (nail file)
6. Buffer/shiner

When the cracking happens on the nail bed (the pink part of your nail) like this,
it will be very painful to try removing the loose free edge.
But you can't leave it until the crack moves up
because it could get caught on hair and fabrics!!! Ouch!
So we need this treatment

Step1. To stop the nail from cracking any further apply nail glue
on top of the crack. Allow it to dry thoroughly.

Step2. Apply a piece of Silk Wrap covering the entire width of the nail.

Step3. Let the silk absorb the glue and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Step4. Apply another coat of glue and sprinkle the Filler on top.
Once the glue is dried, dust off any excess filler with a piece of paper towel
and repeat this step 2 to 3 times.

Step5. When the nail becomes thick enough to support the crack,
file to contour and buff to shine

That's it!
Were you able to understand with this short explanation??
If there is any questions please ask me

Thank you for visiting~!!

Disposable Gloves (^ω^)/

Every Monday is my big cleaning day!!

I use a LOT of VERY dangerous detergents...he he he~!!
...Just joking(^-^)v

I mainly use cleaning agents which are not harmful
for animals, soil or water,
but, they still can dry my hands out(^-^;

So, I use these disposable plastic gloves

I was cleaning Charming's (my birdie's) cage...

I wear these gloves after applying thick cream on my hands.

This is like wearing a wrap,
and will make my hands nice and soft
by the time I finish cleaning everything p(^-^)q

The reason why I don't use proper gloves is
because of the soft feeling linings inside which
will absorb the hand cream and
get dirty.

If you're interested,
I recommend to use powder free or
powder less disposable gloves,
so it doesn't make your hands powdery white in the end.

These are my new nail tips
Pink and blue bows with lots of stars!!

↑Thumbs...(^-^)↓

And there is a nail pierce as well!!
                                     ...this one.

These little additions will be available at
my nail tip store soon!! He he he~!!!

Thank you~(^0^)/

Charming had a bath today,
and he soaked his tummy!

He is like "...huh? What are you lookin at??"

Don't catch a cold Charmin!!

☆Quick Heel Care☆

Hello~!!
How are you~??

It's been really wet and windy here in Adelaide(^-^;
I'm such a chicken and I'm so scared of thunder storms...
Once I see lightning,
my heart starts coming up to my mouth!...Plop!!

Anyway!!
I'd like to show you my quick heel care today!

After washing your feet with lots of bubbles,
(just rinsing with water is not enough ladies!),
dry with a clean towel and
apply body cream mainly on the dry area.

Wrap the heels with a piece of glad wrap.

Put the socks on top of the wrap
and spend a few hours until the wrap comes off(^-^)v

I normally wear high heels
which make my heels hard,
so I need do this heel care almost everyday!

When my heels start looking white and dry,
I use a pedi-rasp in the shower and
apply extra rich body butter on them before I sleep(^-^)v
By the time I wake up, my heels become nice and soft again!!

I wanted to put more photos to explain better,
but I've been pretty busy working on my store lately...,
soon I should be able to introduce you to my new nail tip store
and more blog posts(^-^;
These are my nail tips for today!
Soft pink base and air brushed french...hard to see(^-^;

Birdie of the day!!!

Thank you so very much for your patience!!

(^3^)/smoooochieees!!!

♪How to Draw a Flower2 (Cherry Blossom)♪

I'll continue writing about how to draw a flower

for hand painted nail art!!

Today, I'll show you how to draw
a cherry blossom flower, my favourite spring flower!!

Before you start drawing on the nail,
let's check what cherry blossoms look like,
(See Cherry Blossom Images )

and practice on a piece of paper first(^-^)/

After checking a few different photos,
you can tell the flower shape is like this...

A round petal with a little cut on the end.

Let's practice the shape
following the steps that I showed you
in the last blog

How to Draw a Flower?!

Practice practice practice practice
practice practice practice until you find
a perfect shape, size and angle etc...(^▽^)~♪

Then, let's try painting them
using acrylic paint!!

I used black, so that I can see
how I'm doing better(^-^)

Adding water little by little with the brush,
mixing mixing mixing
until the paste becomes very smooth : )

It is always good to start drawing the outline first.

Then fill inside.

When the brush becomes hard on the end
and doesn't separate any more like this,

please dip the brush into the water
and separate the hair.

With practice, I think your body will remember
how to move the brush to draw cherry blossoms.

OK!!
I'll show you how to draw these cherry blossoms
on the nail next time!!

Thank you very much for reading (´∀`)ノ☆
